Not every flooring job goes down on a perfect substrate. Uneven moisture readings, minor surface imperfections, and challenging installation conditions are the reality on most commercial and industrial sites. When standard adhesives aren’t up to the task, you need a product engineered for those conditions — not one designed for ideal circumstances and pressed into service where it doesn’t belong.

That’s where BOA HOLD comes in.

What Is BOA HOLD?

BOA HOLD is a professional-grade floor adhesive designed for demanding installation environments. Strong, flexible bonding across a range of flooring types and substrate conditions — concrete, plywood, and other common subfloor materials. Engineered for elevated moisture environments, heavy-traffic commercial floors, large-format materials, and long-term performance under real-world conditions.

High-Traffic Commercial Floors

Retail stores, warehouses, commercial kitchens, fitness centers, healthcare facilities — these environments put flooring under constant mechanical stress. Heavy foot traffic, rolling loads, cleaning chemicals, and temperature cycling all work against the adhesive bond over time. BOA HOLD’s bond strength and flexibility hold up without becoming brittle. Edge lifting, seam separation, and mid-field bubbling are significantly reduced when the adhesive is matched to the demands of the environment.

Moisture-Challenged Substrates

Elevated moisture vapor emissions from concrete slabs are one of the most common causes of flooring failures. BOA HOLD is formulated to perform where standard adhesives break down. This doesn’t mean moisture testing can be skipped — always conduct calcium chloride or RH probe testing before installation. But for slabs on grade, basements, and older commercial buildings with moisture as a known variable, BOA HOLD provides a more robust solution.

Repair and Patch Applications

Repair work presents some of the most challenging adhesive conditions: transitions in surface profile, porosity differences between old concrete and new patch material, residue from previous adhesives or coatings. BOA HOLD’s flexibility and strong initial tack handle the transitions that standard adhesives struggle with.

Large-Format Tile and Plank

24×48 porcelain tile, long-plank LVT, wide-plank wood — larger formats flex more, have more surface area to bond, and require consistent coverage to prevent hollow spots and edge lippage. BOA HOLD provides the extended open time and shear resistance needed for careful large-format installations.

Application Tips

  • Moisture testing first, always. Document your readings before installation.
  • Match your trowel notch to the flooring type. Do a transfer test to verify coverage.
  • Don’t rush the open time. Setting into skinned-over adhesive produces weak bonds.
  • Apply between 65°F–85°F for best transfer and bond strength.
  • Roll after installation with a 100-lb floor roller in both directions.
  • Store between 50°F–90°F. Never freeze.
